Question Breather filter or oil catch can?

I was wondering what the diiferance was? I see the super modded evos with a breather filter and daily driven evos with a oil catch can. What is the differance between the both? Does it affect your horsepower or the way the engine responds?

if you are ecology conscience (sp?) then a catch can is the way to go, a breather may spew some oil in your engine bay, On my eclipse I just ran a longer hose down toward the ground (I know, not eco friendly, but its not much oil) there is a good how-to on a breather/catch can that someone did that is small, cheap and looks pretty good
