DSM vs EVO Cam gears

I am confused.

i did a lot of search but found no definite answer.

what are differences between those?
I think fidanza sells the same for both, when AEM and others offer different ones for DSM and EVO.

can I fit eclipse cam gears to 03EVO?

thanks
Maciek

There is a different pin hole for each (the evo engine is flipped opposite of the eclipse). The fidanza gears have both pins and the one for the Evo is specified, you cannot miss it.

no i am not... i have absolutely no experience in DSMs...

to justify the question a little i could add, that there are sometimes completely different engines that use the same cam gear (like VW ABF 2.0 16v transverse mounted, 1.8T AEB longt. and Audi's 2.2T ABY...) and some engines that despite similarity have different cam gears like some Honda D16's

sorry if that was stupid to you

i know the engines are opposite mounted in eclipse and evo's from IV on...
was just curious how fidanza managed to offer one application for both..
and it is always better to ask if one's not sure..
Thanx for answer itzwolf
