If i pay 160 bucks for something I expect it to work flawlessly and not need to be modified. In the box I never read anything of having to cut this or mod that. I was under the impression that it was a bolt on product and then your done.

Therein lies the very nature of mistakes and the fact that no one ever expects them to happen.
I feel personally resposible when issues like this arise, as I often handle (in some way/shape/form) almost every product that goes out the door, but that is why we fervently work to correct those mistakes as they arise. There is little else we can do, really other than offer our deepest appologies.
I dont think there is a finer boost controller made than the UNOS it is the BEST manual boost controller ever made IMO. The Detents that make it click so you know how much you have adjusted is the most accurate way to adjust a manual.
As far as the RS its a great BOV and probably the best avalible for the evo. yes its not perfect but i will say this its a hell of alot better than anything else avalible.
The Waste gate actuator is something we found to work great. The main difference i see with people having install issues is they arn't checking to see if the thing is properly setup. We always do ours with the 02 housing off the car so we can check to see if theactuator is closing properly.
So let me get this right if you pay $160 for a product it has to be perfect right out of the box cause you spent money on it. what about an AEM EMS pay 2k for something and it isnt perfect. or maybe an IC kit that requires triming or modifing to fit. come on man that is a pretty bad comment that was not though thru.

Greg, please do not compare a stand alone engine management system to a simple WGA
. Also about your comment with the trimming for intercooler kits; I for one had to trim mine to make it fit but I was well aware of this fact before i even bought the product so I expected it!! The vendor made it well aware that I would have to trim a few things to make it fit. Did you get that.... the actual vendor made it lound and clear!!!!! With this WGA I was never informed that I would have to do any of that from the vendor. All im saying is that if possible fitment issues could arise with any products it should be included in the directions somewhere. So you think that was a bad comment by me, I think it was a bad comment by you.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time at all, really.
I just want everyone to be aware that we back our products 100%. We're a small company, so mistakes are bound to happen, but we'll always strive to fix them.
Personally, I love threads like this. It's nice to get feedback, both good and bad. It's also always somewhat of a "challenge" (in a good way) to sort through the problems and right a wrong.
We're nothing without our customers, and don't think we ever forget that!

I was pretty sure you already knew all that, though, since that all was done a while ago and you saw the dyno results.

I dont like going by what vendors say on the products mostly because if they sell the item and are making cash on it, they wont be inclinedto say anything negative about it. Thats business and thats OK. However that makes them bias therefore, Al and Greg's opinions mean nothing to me in this case . No offense to them, as I buy from both of them and they offer great services. Nonetheless. whats up with these 2 MBCs failing? Id like to know more.

BTW - just my two cents the WGA from Forge is "adjustable" - this means you have to adjust it. Some shops dont know how to adjust it where in is the problem. When its adjusted properly it works like a charm. As Mike said - sometimes you have to bend it longer and some times you have to shave it shorter. Main thrust is you have to adjust it properly.
