I just bought a Forge Diverter valve, model FMDVEVO15. Nice looking piece. Apparently though, this is not the new RS Recirc that Forge now offers. Am I ok w/ this Diverter valve? I read a couple of past posts indicating part throttle boosting problems w/ this particular model? Can someone shed some light on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I appreciate that and perceive you to be a stand up guy. It just smelled a little off to me for you to come in this thread where people were mentioning the exact problem you also had and to just say you loved the product without a mention of the problem like it didn't exist.

Mentioning the problem is actually a good thing in my mind as it gives the manufacturer the opportunity to know there really is a problem and fix it as Forge obviously will based on their excellent response to the issue.

For the record, I think the UNOS is a great piece and well designed. The clicks are just brilliant and make it easy to set it to a repeatable boost pressure.

I may also be in the market for a WGA as I'm not necessarily thrilled about how my stock unit holds boost. I will definitely buy the Forge one if I can be assured that it will fit my car as designed without hacking.

Well at least now everybody knows there might be a issue when installing the actuator and requires slight adjustment of the rod if they can't hold boost.
By the way, I luv my forge actuator!

Since you have an Evo 9 (as it appears to the left), I'll let you know right now that our exsisting actuator will not work.

We are working on sourcing an OEM Evo 9 actuator (yes, it's slightly different) so that we can prototype and test our own version, but we're having trouble tracking one down to use for this project.

We're trying to do this as quickly as possible, but I don't really have an estimated time frame right now!

Can you please elaborate on how a billet aluminum valve "disintegrated"?

I can appreciate that you may have had a legitimate problem that caused you to look at an alternative option, but let's not exagerate our terms and give people the wrong idea!

Our valves won't "disintegrate"!

Cool ... thanks for the heads up. I wonder if Buschur or Forced Performance might be able to help you source a stocker with all the work they have done trying to source parts for the 20G-IX ...

Call me cheap but can a evo8 Forge actuator be converted to a evo9 Forge actuator?
It seems all that is required is changing out the rod and the mounting bracket.
Just a idea.

I have one forge product, the rs bov - good quality, versatile.

Works well, especially in conjunction with a stiffer actuator. Not really useful under 19 psi.

I kind of feel this is a somewhat pointless thread

Forge products are great. Even if an old BOV had an issue. There is a LIFETIME warranty on their parts.

How could you ever go wrong. Just like the EVOLUTION, product evolve and improve over time and changes are made to improve products.

Forge is no exception, I am running their newest WGA which has at least 2-3 updates over the original version.

Great company and products.

during the early stage of my mods I got you're bov to replace my stock one to prevent any leaks or other issues, the next thing I saw when I got to 21 lbs of boost was a leak in your bov 'cuz only one bolt was left to hold the upper and lower piece together, we checked why this thing happened and we saw some hairline cracks on the bottom piece where it is threaded, now what do you call that? Tried to let you guys know about this before but some one told me on the other line that I was not suppose to use youre bov and boost up to 21 lbs.

Ok, well firstly, this is news to me, so I can't comment on what someone else (far be it from me to know who) told you anything that you were told, but this should not have happened, and secondly, you should have received a replacement valve free of charge immediately.

I appologize if this is not what transpired, but please contact me privately if you would like to discuss the situation further.

Some of the older Evo 8 actuators had the brackets physically welded to the actuator bodies, so those actuators will most certainly not be able to be "changed over", but it MAY be possible for the newer Evo 8 actuators with the bolted-on brackets to be altered.

I cannot commit to being able to offer this service/option right now, but we'll see what happens. Something to consider at least.

thanks for your kind consideration of this matter, hope you were that person that I talked to from the last time, based on how you handle this situation I think I will change my impression of your company, and will try your products again if the need arise. I'm still planning to do some mods in the future and I'm sure I will looking at your website....thanks for being a gentleman and a true businessman.
