My parents bought my Evo for me too. On the same conditions your parents made, but you are making it harder for me to get the older guys to trust me and every other teen owner on the forum. My parents waited for the first quarter to roll by before making the final decision on the car. I'm thinking your parents should've done the same. =\

another off topic point: Warr....we see more of your personality everyday... haha

k and finally on topic: you can do all that for cheaper as just about EVERYONE has already stated.

i got to page 4 of the thread and got tired of reading your defenses......
thanks i guess but you would have done the same, it was my first post, and he came in there trying to tell me im an idiot and this and that... i mean i guess your just an 18 year old that can put up with alot of negative lecturing..... i lure more towards the positive lecture

Warr, thanks for saving me some time. #10 is great.

I think i'm more ashamed of myself for actually reading this whole thread than for any of the ridiculous comments posted. I feel i need to pay back my employer for wasting all this time.

i've had my fair share of negative lectures. My parents are the best. I have a high tolerance for a lot of things. Just watch your step.

Oh and pay attention for the last semester....otherwise your car is bye bye..

you sound like you came in here, posted your part list, and expected to get your "e-props" or whatever else you were aiming for, got shot down, and now you're mad at the world. i advise you to just calm down man, you have to learn stuff around here like everyone else did, it takes time and effort. don't expect everything to get laid out infront of you that easily.
listen dude, i came in here for advice, not e-props... before i own'd my evo i havent ever even thought about a jap car.... but now that i have one, this is what i wanted to do.... what i basically did ALL BY MYSELF... i searched the badest and most expensive products and thought it was the best... but i guess that wasent the case... and that wasent a little joke... the man has got issues... he is the one that thinks he is ABOVE EVERYONE.... because i have read forums he has posted on and he is still the same arrogant jerk he was in here

Iono bout ALL of Warr's posts but the ones i've read were harsh but they carried weight. He does help, like it or not. and HIGH CASH FLOW doesn't mean HIGH POWER FLOW btw... The beauty of these cars is that you don't need much to go fast. It's fast as a stocker.

I dont plan on modding for a while partly cus I don't have the funds. My parents are taking care of the car and actually don't want me to mod.

Shadowist is rite too. The way you acted in this thread PLUS your "newbie" title wasn't really helping your case. =\

Uh, do you even know what you're talking about? My first response to you wasn't very negative at all, and I didn't call you an idiot. This is what I wrote - I believe it was actually helpful, don't you?

"17, able to buy a brand new IX MR and then go dish out $3300 on basic mods? I love how you said you "shopped around," yet are buying some of the most expensive things possible. What do you do for a living?

You'll have around 330-340whp on a Dynojet, and that could be achieved for about $1500 less on a weaker VIII. It might suck still having the stock downpipe, too..."

In essence, I told you the power you'd make, that you'd be able to make the same power for a lot less money, and that you forgot to add a downpipe. What was so bad about that?

"Greddy Type S - $199 (Another waste of money)"

That's Bad Information in my opinion

These work pretty well and won't stall you're car out, at least for the 03 and 04's. There is the "single-spring" mod that you have to do.

DSMers also seem to like them well enough and they are typically pretty discriminating (espicially when it comes to more expensive thing-ees :-)

There might be newer, more relevant choices, but it sure fixed my leaking stock diverter issue when I raised the boost from stock. The adjustable feature has proven itself useful as well. Adjusts while it's on the car. I can pull over to the side of the road and use a 10mm wrench and allen wrench to adjust the spring. I like that.

Back when I bought mine there were a lot of BOV's that were causing stalling issues and the Type S was there to pick up the slack.

If you got AIM hit up s/n herrmination I'll help you out.

But you might wanna add a security system in that list too, if you search you can find a lot of stories of vandalized Evo's at colleges.
