Wallbro started whining noise. Is it bad?

Today i was driving fine. Went to the store and turned off car. When i turned it back on i noticed a noise. Something like a high pitch electrical noise. Kinda like that humming noise you get thru your spaekers from amplifiers. I've had the pump for 3 1/2 months 7k miles and this is the first time i hear the whine. Is this normal?? I just got cams installed and a dynoflash reflash a week ago. Thanks for any help..

break-in, mine didn't do it either for about the first 3 months, then it was loud for a while, now its back to being quiet, who knows... but it is not a problem, to let you know.

I was hoping it wouldn't be that bad for an Evo. The whining sux in my GST, especially when I'm gettin' down to a 1/4 of a tank!

It's normal man, unfortunately.

Alright. I'll drive it like that for a week and see if anything happens. When i have time i'll open it to make sure nothing is stuck. Im just worried its making my car run leaner or richer.

Yeah, the same happened to me. It wasn't making noise when I installed it. Now, I hear it.

See if it goes away when you fill the tank. Mine is noticeably louder when I get low on gas.

I have a little over a quarter on gas. I went out for a test drive and the noise was gone. Weird. I took off the rear seat to check for any leaks on the seal but everything looked good.

Same here.
It was stock quiet when new, then about a month later it started humming.
I guess due to the higher flow rating and metal gears in the walbro pumps.
My AFR's are fine.

Mine does it off and on. For you guys who say it started after a month or two that's probably just the first time you noticed. I am not sure why it whines sometimes and others it doesn't. I've read it is a two speed pump so maybe the whining is the sound it makes on high speed.
