05 MR dyno results
Thats interesting, I'd be pissed if my exhaust melted my bumper.... what kinda exhaust you running???
Cant they strap the car any better so that it doesnt push the exhaust over too much to burn your bumper??

Im running the helix. Im pretty pissed but what can you do you sign the form of liability. The way they strap the rear the back strap pushes up on the exhaust while the straps pull the car down. None of the others got melted, and im not sure if they were strapped differently or not.

The tq numbers are off at tqf. Look at ceasars numbers, look at the other guys numbers, since when are tq number always lower then hp?? Like I said my first pull I made 500tq. Enough said. The 06 mr that english racing did, made 369hp and like low 300tq.

The flash you have now is designed to work with a MBC
if you dyno it without a MBC of course you will not get any accurate results as the boost will not be at the proper level
You shouldn't have sold me your K&N Jim, that was the secret to your mad power.
I'll say those numbers are right on. There was another Evo with almost identical mods and it put down 276/244.
My stock IX hit 261/223 with Jim's old K&N panel filter tossed in between pulls.
Evo IX powa!

He did not have the MBC installed and the flash he had had no ecu controlled boost adjustment so he was running stock boost
I really do not get the point of his whole excercise to go to the dyno without the MBC when his tune was set up for a mbc
Hey Jim,
Man that sucks about the bumper. Here is the car's FAME dyno sheet from last April with the Xede & Shiv tune, stock airbox, and Helix TB w/ HFC:
I still have the Xede with Shiv's map on it. Would be interesting, once you get your MBC installed for the Dynoflash flash, to compare the two back-to-back on the same dyno or maybe using one of those G-tech meters.
Let me know if you want to borrow the Xede for testing.

I wish tqf would have done it with the rpm, then it would be easier to compare.
Im worried about ever putting the car on the dyno again.
Thanks anyways steve. I tried to keep the car in best shape as possible and its a bummer to see something happen to it that wasnt my fault or had any control over.

sucks that they burned your bumper. wouldn't think that the release would get them out of something like this...
as al said, don't understand the point of paying for good dyno time w/o mbc, but your cash..
good time to look into an evo9 bumper??

I was under the impression I still had the boost controlling features on the flash. I figured he wouldnt waste his time removing it since the mbc will change it anyways.
I just want the original bumper back in its good shape. I like the 9 bumpers on some cars, but Im trying not to spend much on the looks, the evo looks good the way it sits to me.
