anyone know of an oil pump upgrade? seems like a few people have had some kind of trouble lately and since i am almost done building my motor i would like to find out if there is an upgrade before i start getting the valvetrain all together.

is anybody making a stronger set of gears for the pump?

It's the case that wears not the gears.

 

so the case or the gears fail?
i know when i was doing the honda stuff we upgraded the gears themselves as long as the case was ok.

so do dsm pumps fail for the gears crubling/shattering or just due to wearing out the surface the gears ride on in the case?

 

We had prob with lack of oil volume in our shop car. We are now using high volume oil pump. I'll post more after we test this product

It's pretty badas$!!! Their fuel pump is louder then my exhuast
