no it can be quiet...but at around 4k+ its pretty loud. I have a HFC with my tbe i can only think about how loud it would be with a testpipe.

 

this exaust is really loud! considering i have no cat but its loud either way expecially over 4k. It does sound really good though! just got pulled over couple nights ago just cruzin around under 3-4k so i'm getting rid of the cat back. it is a nice exaust though dont get me wrong!

 

youre talking about the gt spec, right? anyone know how the n1 comapres in terms of sound? someone on another thread has it with a hfc and he said its not loud enough for him...

 

GT Spec is much deeper sound. More rumble. It is also all stainless.

 

I have the N1 on my Evo and it's really quite but I am still running the stock cat. Just remeber that the N1 is not a true 3" exhaust. It necks down at the cat where it's only 2.5"

For anyone that needs a quite exhaust this is perfect. I live in VA where you WILL get pulled over for a loud exhaust when you're in Fairfax.

I have the A'pexi GT Spec exhaust and dp...imo it is not too loud. It has a nice low rumble to it and when you mash it the sound definately gets pretty aggressive. But if I drive "normal" my car is barely louder than stock.
