How close to emmisions?
How close are we to the emmisions barrier? Outside of CALI... I mean if the oil was enough to get us under emmisions... would a high flow cat and the ECU upgrade be enough to make us not pass emmisions?

Idle tests are easy to pass. Even running richer with an ECU, idle shouldn't be overly affected. It's the ones where they put your car on the rollers that can be a pain because the car is under load and the new fuel maps come into play. Of course, I've yet to see an emissions place though that can put AWD cars on rollers.

Not true - the federal standards are the minimums. Some states, like California, have much stricter emissions requirements.
