20G-9 + Koyo racing radiator + Forge WGA = need slim fan

Well I thought I could make it fit.. I cut the corner off the stock fan shroud which allowed it to fit around the WGA but then I soon realized that the fan blade itself is like 1/4 inch from the turbo with the shroud pretty much resting on the turbo.

So what are you guys with the Koyo racing radiator using as a slim replacement?

I've found a couple with a search but I wanted this to be known so the next person will know ahead of time.

The only issue is the shroud and it measures 2.25" which seems to be less than what the these slimline fans are showing. I'd assume they mean the entire assembly when they give the thickness although it would be nice to know how thick the shroud around the fan is :\

Here is the one in question... From what I've read it should bolt right up: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...2&autoview=sku

I was ordering the same setup, but read in other posts of others running out of space when using the KOYO racing radiator...so I ordered the PWR.... its not as sexy as the KOYO, but I have more room to play with.

Straight out the box...looking at the PWR and its welds...I think it looks like doodoo

Ive seen the KOYO and like it's looks alot better

Sorry for getting off the subject...just was in a sharing mood

Will do... There is plenty of room it's just the fact that everything is moved to the left some.. I'm worried about the slimline having clearance issues around the wga/turbo but I'll make it fit.

Well I got the fan today.. No way of mounting it tho. Either I will have to get creative making some sort of mounting brackets or I will have to order another fan. Also I'm not really impressed with this fan at all.. it's pretty small and one of the "mounting" brackets doesnt even stay snug in the fan.

Looks like my EVO will remain parked.

No I'm still waiting to hear back from someone when the wheels come in if they havent already.. hopefully they don't forget about me

Ok I'm a retard.. the mounting kit bolts are supposed to go through the radiator core so this fan should work.

I got this one a while back

It mounts using the "zip tie" looking things that come with it. You mount it right to the radiator itself.
