I think the stages are missing a few parts and have a few that aren't needed.

I've had the AMS stage 1 and 2 on for quite awhile now. Getting cams in the spring.
I love the car, nothing wrong at all. And definitely faster than stock by a good amount.

But yes Warrtalon is right, there definitely are more efficient and better paths to modding now, the AMS stages of some stuff that isn't that essential, so I'd definitely look into something else too before making your final decision and hopefully save some money.

I recommend the staged package in my signature. It is proven, reliable, fast, and simple without any extraneous parts. It also includes tuning. Even if you don't want to specifically buy my package, please consider getting the same types of parts, because it really is the best way to go about modding - far better than AMS stage 1/2.
Outdated??? Arent very good???

this is not only not true but exactly the opposite.

please do not misinform our customers.

I understand that you are working with Buschur on packages, you can advertise your packages much more effectively then saying negative things about ours.

I wouldn't dissagree that your packages seem to be a pretty efficient way to run, but I wouldn't say that the AMS packages are outdated or obsolete. I'm sure the AMS guys know exactly what they are doing and wouldn't misinform their customers, they seem to always guide customers on the best path to take to get to ech specific goal.

I would get Stage 1 with the dp and cat/test pipe
and substitute the afc with their flash.

Out of respect for AMS who I have no beef with and who I know does great things for the Evo community, I have edited my comments. I do feel strongly about what I said, and it's nothing against AMS. I just think they need to re-vamp the packages.

Right. That would make much more sense than what they have listed, but you would also need a fuel pump for safety, and a BOV that doesn't leak at 13psi.

That totally makes sence, but they think they can work with people to make changes like that, I know I have asked to sawp things out and they were accomodating to it. I wouldn't mind seeing if they do in fact make changes or have valid reasons for staying the same, just for more knowledge.

we dont have the flash on the site becuase its an in house job only. If I cant ship it out I really dont want it on the site. mail in flashes right now are too irradic for us to be playing around with. Every mail in flash we have seen on the dyno here in on the extremely rich or lean side.

Expensive? Not powerfull? That is simply not true.

The stages are setup for customers who dont really have the ability to get to a good shop to flash the car. and have been proven to work.

we can custom Tailor stages to any customer and there desired HP level and type of Vehicle use. We have done that since day one.

Again your confilct of interest in this thread is very obvious. if you wish to further discuss this please PM me.

Eric

I have only heard good things about hte stage 1 and 2 packages from AMS. I talk to several customers online and they priase the performance and driveablity they retain with these, unlike other stage packages. Kudos AMS.

As for your question, i highly doubt you will have any problem, Eric and Martin stand behind their product 100% so the chances of you having problems with parts or service is unlikely. As well as car problems, unless it is a user (your) cause.

hey hey hey hey, lets not turn this into a flame fest like the blown motor thread stew made a few days ago. If you have something constructive about ams, and have advice for the gentleman who posted please leave feedback. Please avoid belittling other members, vendors, or guests with pointless rants.

oh i forgot to post before in my post. Once you get the stage 2 you will more than overly pleased with the performance of your evo. AMS stage 2 gives me some trouble, and i got cams and a tune in addition to stage 2. Just shows how performance oriented AMS is.

Steve
