In that case, AMS stage 1 is up your alley, but you can't touch stage 2. These are the mods you can remove for or not get in trouble when going to the dealer, and they are all in AMS stage 1:

- SAFC (as long as it comes with the fields harness so you don't splice into the ECU - can remove the whole thing in 3 minutes)
- MBC (takes 30-45mins, but can be done before going to the dealer - just remember to keep your stock boost lines in tact and re-use them exactly how they were originally)
- Panel filter (can leave it in)
- Cat-back (can leave it on)

My alternative package has more parts and is tougher for warranty concerns:

- Flash instead of SAFC (more power, more features, and can't be seen, but can technically be detected by the dealer on 05s/06s if they know how to do it and know to look, but it's not easy)
- MBC (see above)
- TBE (cat-back is ok, but with downpipe and test pipe or HFC, it will depend on your dealer)
- Fuel pump (VIII only - can't be seen, so not a worry)
- BOV (VIII only can be switched to stock in 5 mins)

Dude,
dont worry anout your warranty as long as you dont beat the snot out of your car. I had a Evo VIII with a Vishnu stage 1++ and put 35k on it in 2 years. Not one problem with the car that I needed to bring it in to the dealer.

Now I am a very proud owner of a AMS stage 3 IX and i have 8k on the clock to date with not a problem. Iy your like me and dont do work on your own car take it to a place like AMS for your regular service like I do and intend to.

These cars are relitivly strong after modding especially mild mods such as stage 1, 2, and 3
I have sold car for 9 years and driven just about everything out there including all the highlines. I have never seen a more solid strong engine as the 4g63.

thats what i was thinking. ive heard a lot of people who dont have any problem, ever. i have the problem of the grinding into 5th gear, but im getting that fixed soon. i think once that happens i wont have any other problems. im hoping to get around 350 to 400whp on pump.
