Exedy Hyper Single gone at 4000 miles

Well like the title says. It went out at 4000 mile with about 10 launches on it. for the power i'm running this should not have happened.

Halman mbc
helix tbe
and safc

Question is, what do you think the chances of it getting warrantied.

had the same thing happen on my 03 but it only lasted 1500 miles after a 500 mile break in and only 4 or 5 hard launches. called exceddy up told them what happened and bernie solomon from daiken sent me an excedy twin for nothing, even shipped it for free

There's TWO Exedy "Single" Discs...actually Three.

Stage 1 - Organic Single - Step up from stock. Nothing fancy, just a street clutch for people with minor bolt ons. I should mention however - this clutch HAS held 450WHP and gone 12.00 but it is NOT recommend for that power/timeslip.

Stage 2 - Ceremetallic Single - Four Puck, Sprung Hub. Metallic compond, for people on a budget, but need something to hold 350HP. This clutch should go 11's, but I don't have any first hand expierence.

Stage 3 - Hyper Single - Six Puck, Sprung Hub, Includes Flywheel (Pretty Purple color too). Metallic compund, not really for drag racing. This is a low inertia disc for people that are looknig for shift response in a road race setting. Holds 350ish HP. Exedy is in fact no longer importing t his clutch to the US.

I recommend either the Exedy Stage if you're on a budget, or step upto a Twin Plate.

Skip the Hyper Single.

Hope this helps.

i smell a problem with install. That is norm the problem when a clutch goes out that quick.

Ben

P.S to help you out exedy normally has you send the clutch in.

They can see if you didn't break it in. If you didn't torque the bolts right. If you drank the wrong beer while doing the install. Well maybe not hte last one
