Custom Dyno tune or Custom Road street tune?

Hey guys i need some suggestions, my mods are going in soon in my sig below. Im on the wall for who should tune my car, i am already scheldued for march 21st at AMS for a custom dyno tune for $500, then i hear that Jestertuning is coming to milwaukee to do some road tunes and since i already have the ecutek software from my through the mail Dynoflash(at least i think i have it anyone know for sure?) the cost for me would only be 250. Which route do you think is the best? I hear John from Jestertuning does some amazing work and it costs less then Ams, so im thinking about going that route, how much different can these two tuners be? Any help would be great

Wow, after all the threads and posts on this topic lately I would almost think you're joking by posting this.

Prepare for a bloodbath.

If you're main motivator is price, then good luck. For engine tuning, personally, price would not be my main motivator. To each their own.

If you have a mail-in Dynoflash, then you don't have an EcuTek license. YOu will have to pay the minimum $650 to get an EcuTek flash. Anyone who charges less for an initial EcuTek flash is breaking their binding agreement with EcuTek.

I have had both, I did not like the dyno tune at all. I don't think enough time was spend tuning my car properly. The road tune on the other hand, could not have been better.

Define "load." And why is it greater on the road?

you need to have your car tuned on a real dyno. like a dyno dymanics dyno the very best. a road tune is a waste of money. cant tune as well as on the dyno. just my 2cents.

The bigger question is which tuner do you feel will meet your needs and do the best job. Dyno v. road isn't the real question in my opinion ... it's which tuner can use the equipment at hand to work with you and your car to achieve the best tune. I would suggest personally talking to each and then going with the one that makes you the most comfortable.

I like to have both done, at TurboXS they tune on dyno first and then do some road tuning afterwards. I think either method works great just depends on the tuner.
