I've lived here most my life, except for 3 years in Spain, 3 in Turkey, and 1 in Brazil.

I had compressor surge on my hks ssqv until I figured how to tighten it the right way. If you get slight flutter under 7-8psi....then that is fine. anything over 9 psi you should be getting one crisp "pssst" sound. If it is still fluttering then it needs to be tightened. Compressor surge can lead to leaky turbo seals. Trust me I found this out the hard way. A year of surge (unwillingly knowing it) and then a year after that I had to replace my turbo cause the seals were leaking. Compressor surge was to blame.

I have a problem with the my evo double chirping when I let go the throttle in fifth gear (cruising at 3500rpm), and possibly in fourth gear also. I don't think it happens on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear. The car will jerk and chirp. It has a TurboXS BOV. Do you guys think that this is the same issue that S2Kstephen had, i.e. problem with the BOV too tight?

Hey everyone.. I am currently having the same problem.. 03 evo 8 GSR.. Changed the BOV and new vacuum line.. Drives fine until about 6-7k rpm, then BOV abruptly releases as if I let off the throttle completely, but I didn't. Every gear in high RPMS.

Service light code says "turbo over boost"..

Any ideas anyone? Thank you guys much!
