9.8 --> 10.5 Hotside Question

I want to know first hand from people who have actually done the swap just how the car feels. Is there a noticeable difference?

Is the install worth the gains?

I figured that if i were to dig down that deep it would make sense to port and coat the mani and hotside while im there

SEARCHHHHHHHH......there's PLENTY of threads that cover this topic.

well i didn't do a direct before-and-after comparison but yes there's a difference. esp if you go with a ported/coated ,single flapper 10.5 hotside. it lets you run a lil leaner afr up top as well as just flow more air period. it's def worth it if you're planning on sticking with the stock turbo for a while.

it's not so much just the hotside by itself but your combination of parts and what the hotside lets you do with a custom tune that yields significant gains.

^ word. You should definitely do the 10.5 upgrade. While you have it off Id def do the Ebay 02 and ported manifold if you can afford it. Those mods plus FMIC woke up my car.

I already have the DNP 02 Housing and i think im just going to leave it alone. ( Does is need to be port matched )

Oh ok, yeah I thought you had stock. DNP is good. It probably doesnt have to be port matched but if you have a die grinder mine as well perfect it! I had my 10.5 ported and it matched the Ebay 02 perfectly.

My 1/8 mile ET was 0.3 sec faster and 3 more mph for the $250 mod. Power gains worth about $1000+ value. In the beginning they put the 9.8 on the evo to tame it
