35R and flash should be fine as long as you get a custom tune. Alcohol is a must even if you don't boost too high, think of it as a safety device.

Stock head should be fine too. I would worry about my block before the head. But both those should be fine as long as you don't go above 7800rpm or so with proper boost.

Wow, 530WHP is really good, that is the highest I've seen with an VIII and flash combo. There are two IXs running flashes and GT35R set ups, one is making 540WHP on a Dyno Jet and the other is making 505WHP on a Mustang.

i believe that the large injectors for the GT35R and the 280 cams will be hard to get to idle with just a flash. i see people doing one or the other not both that often.
