lol. Sorry man. I just want to get this damn thing figured out. I am going to take it off and clean it out and check all the connections. if that doesnt fix it then I will by one tomorrow.
Did you read my first post??
Turbosmart isn't the greatest MBC, or at least thats what I read.
I would say Forge or Hallman are the best, but Forge has ad a little issue lately.
But really, I don't know what I'm talking bout cuz I've never had a MBC.

War,
I did have it hooked up the way you told me to. I didnt connect it by tapping the BOV line. I'll be honest I dont remember what you said. If you wouldnt mind telling me what that was. Thanx

Yeah, I bet the intake with no tune is at least part of the problem. And MBCs are great cheap fixes, but you can't expect them to work 100% of the time correctly, even if you get one that runs steady boost all the time, eventually you will have to adjust it for weather. I'm thinking about getting an EBC just before I get cams.

To be honest I had no problems with the car til I put the MBC on. Even with the intake I didnt have any issues. I spoke to the shop that installed it and he said that once I get tuned I shouldnt have that issue He said sometime that is a common problem with a MBC. Thru acceleration it holds perfect. It's when I downshift and gun it is when it over boost. I am going to pick up a Hallman or forge before my tune on wednesday. I am just worried if it's not a MBC problem then what can it be?????
I'm curious as to what you guys heard about the TurboSmart MBC's that were bad.
I've had one for about 4000 miles now and only had to adjust it when the temps changed dramatically.
I have a defi BF boost gauge with the control unit that allows me to set a warning indicator if the boost reaches a set level.
Never once had a problem.
What gear did you set your boost at? I set mine in 4th gear.
I just thought of something. To be honest with you - I've never 'down shifted.' I always rev match when dropping down gears or heel toe it when taking turns.

From what everyone is saying that it's not the greatest. When I set mine it was on 3rd then I pulled over and took off again and when I got to 4th it held at 1.2 just as I set it in 3rd. The reason I set it low is because I just finished installing my Intake and TBE and I wanted to leave it conservative til wednesday when I get tuned.
