Exclamation MBC question

I am having a weird problem. I had a turbosmart MBC installed. Once I left the shop I tested the car and tested the MBC to see how it held. i'd take to 3rd and 4th to see where I was holding at. I left it set to 1.2 bar. I left it low because I am get tuned next week. It holds perfect. But today I was on the highway and I downshifted frojm 5th to 4th and then it boosted up til 1.5-1.7.
I pulled over and took off again went thru the gears and it held at 1.2 perfect. Then I dropped it down to 4th and the same sh** again.
Has anyone experienced this???

be careful with that. If its acting up I would just remove it and either buy a new one or get a flash to control your boost. Not worth blowing your motor over a cheap $90 part.

I agree. I am going to try to clean it because i saw that if it's dirty it can cause it to act up.
If that doesnt work then I will just buy one when I go get flashed next week. I was pissed

I doubt it's acting up because it's dirty. I would see what the tuner can do with it. Buy one just in case than sell it if you don't need it.

Can you post your mod list? It might not be your MBC. Where in LI are you located?

Is the boost spiking (hit peak really fast then tapper) or creeping (hit peak then slowly climb up as rpm goes up)? Yeah I would swap another MBC in to see if its the cause.

I heard Turbosmart MBC isn't the greatest.

Also, boost in 4th and 5th will be higher then boost in 3rd and lower.

The sad part is when I do thru the gears it's fine. It's when I downshift and hit it hard is when it messes up
