Oil seal...quick question

Ok, doing a cam install.

Is there an oil seal for the right side of the the exhaust cam (driverside front corner). When I pulled off the cam, I was more worried about the cam angle sensor and if there was a seal, then it fell down somewhere and I need to find it.

It appears like there isn't a seal necessary there but just want to make sure. Last thing I want to do is tear this mother down again!

Left side has a large unidirectional rubberized ring.

A picture of there area where you think the seal should be would give us a better idea of what/where your talking about.

sorry but getting pics uploaded would be a big PITA.

I thought its a pretty straight forward question. Is there a rubber seal near the CAS side of the front (exhaust) cam. I know there is one on the left near the gears?

there is no seal/gasket between the cam position sensor housing and the head, that could have fallen out. There is a silicon/RTV type "form in place" gasket material there that needs to be replaced to prevent oil leaks though. The cover plate (held in place with 3 10mm bolts) on the cam position sensor housing does have a gasket on it, that could fall out if not careful.

Thanks double..that exactly what I thought. Wheew...for a second there I thought I had lost a seal somewhere in the depths of the engine compartment.
