Unhappy Where to get Evo IX turbo

Is anyone selling standard Evolution IX turbos in the USA as yet.

The turbo on my IX just expired (turbine wheel came off) and I need to replace it.

turbochargers.com has them for cheap, but I'm not sure if they are in stock.

If your not going to use your warranty then upgrade to the IX 20g no sense in just getting the stock turbo since they're almost the same price. Nolimitmotors had some in stock not too long ago look it up in the vendor for sale classifieds.

How did the turbo "expire"? I am assuming that you are somewhat modified and you
are already aware that will deny a warranty claim???... For this very reason is why I am so hesitant to do anything to my car.

On a side note, I work for VW and we have a S/C'd R32 in the shop right now with a bad heat seater for both front seats. Our shop foreman is quite aware that the S/C didn't create this problem and they have no issue using the factory warranty to fix this problem. It's a shame that isn't the same way because they offer a 100k powertrain warranty but they want to void it if at all possible on the EVO.

Well, they are not in the USA, but try: www.japanparts.com

They are not cheap but they can get the GT/RS turbo made to order, hopefully it is the updated version. Do you have a GT or GSR?

BTW my mom is from Trinidad.

it's really about the dealership you go to.... vws have tons of problems and i'm sure there's many dealers out there that try to get away with it by making their customers pay.

The car was bought at auction in Japan and has been modified with a stainless steel header, 3" exhaust and had an uprated ECU with above standard boost, so I don't think there is any chance of a warranty claim. It was all working perfectly for weeks until one day it stuttered slightly as I was pulling away from a gas station and then it made a griding noise as the boost started to rise. It seems the shaft simply failed - I hope it was not due to vibration caused by the manifold or exhust or it could potentially happen again. Seems Turbochargers.com have easily the best and cheapest option.

probably wouldn't get it from turbochargers.com

while you're at it you might as well just get a 20g9 since you can't run the car and you want an economical solution. check the price at buschurracing.com for upgrading just the wheel.

or you could send your turbo to forcedperformance and ask them to build you something like a white rabbit evo 9 turbo. although they may just decline.

if you want the best service on oem parts you want to contact blouche turbo, they will be abl to get you anything you want at a good price. ask them for a tme 9 turbo if you wish.

Turbochragers.com has problems with Buschur, but that shouldn't stop you from doing business with them. Pay more if you like, but their deal is the best I found.

but having a that deal in your pocket might require them to have the actual units in stock.

anyway, you still don't know how much blouche turbo charges so ask them first, then see if turbochargers.com has the units in stock.

Right now turbochargers.com has the best deal but they are out of stock - I have not yet been able to find anyone who has an Evo 9 unit available (modified or otherwise). Prices range from US$699 up to US2,500 depending on the supplier. I'll keep looking, let me know if you find one.
