boost on a GT35R???

boost on a GT35R???

i have the GT35R from AMS,AEm with wideband and all sensors,272 cams,fuel pump,1000cc ams inj,greddy intercooler with ams licp,ams 4in speed density intake,3 in rsr exhaust...i do NOT have the 2.3L yet or intake mani..so if u have same set up what boost u running on pump 92 octane???daily driven and safely...what u boost daily?and what can u boost too???ams said 20 on pump...but i was already running more then that b4 the gt35r..and they said 30 psi on c16....well if u have same set up let me know what boost u run...oh and times and hp readings...thanks...

Well if you gave AMS over 7 grand of your own money for their parts, why wouldn't you take there word for it?

fwiw, people run up to 23 on pump, but that is considered the ragged edge from what I have been told for pump gas boost numbers.

well i will take there advice it just seems weird that i can boost 22 or so b4 the gt35r and now with it i boost less....idk just seems weird to me....but i bet 20psi and that monster turbo that sucker will move

take the car to get it tune and you will know how much boost to run.
each car takes boost diffent, you also have to remember that 20spi on a 35r is not like 20 psi on a stocker.

And they said that with good reason. There are limits to how much power can be obtained on pump fuel, regardless of boost pressure. The reason why they advised a limit of 20psi on pump is because the engine is making a good deal more power with 20psi on a GT35R than 20psi on the stock turbo. Pump fuel just won't take more than that, unless of course you retard the timing significantly, which defeats the purpose of raising the boost anyway.

i run about 21lbs of boost on my gt35r setup on 93 octane

i ran 26 psi with stock motor on 93 with all suporting mods, now running 33 psi on built head and motor on 93 daily

you ran 26 psi on pump gas only or with Alky Injection?
