3076R hotside, .63 or .82 ?

How much more power ?
How much more lag ?
When I changed from the .4x to the .63 I did not really noticed any additional lag, power jumped +50whp, +10wtq on pump gas.

Anyone w/ real world experience swapping from .63 to .82 ?

will flow a little bit more power up top, probably spool a couple hundred RPM later....probably not worth the tradeoff on the 30r...unless you are spinning the motor up above 8500

I had a .48 back half on mine and noticed 27psi made as much power as 31, maybe a .82 would make more power in the 30psi range. Just a thought...

600+hp At what boost level did you see that power difference? " +50whp & +10 wtq...very curious.

I've been thinking about going to a .63 back housing on mt GT3076...BTW, where did you get it from??

Thanks...Respec

600+hp is not the Evo #s. It could be, at the crank though w/ the new set up 2.3 + 3076R + meth.

Everything is done at AMS

Here's the #s from the stock 2.0 w/ HKS 272/272, AEM

w/ the .48 hotside
on meth, 402hp/354tq
without meth, 298hp/301

w/ the .63
on meth, 441hp/369tq
without, 375hp/314tq

.63 is only way to go on 3076... It makes about the same power and you really get lag without benefit on the .82 with this turbo

I change to a true .63 5 bolt housing as well and it was a large difference especially in the upper boost levels. You can get any housing you need 4bolt/5bolt w/wo vbands from ATP Turbo for a good price. Just make sure you know what CHRA you are running and supply the measurements so you get the right one the first time.

PTE will say the .48 flows the same as a .63 but as we know AR is a measurement not a guestamate of airflow. The bigger the hole the more air will flow with less back pressure. If your turbo came from PTE they do not make anything bigger than a .48 AR for the GT3076 unless you order a true 4bolt.
