Electrical Problem 1st day..
Are you financing the car?... If so, you might want to tell your bank about this situation and that the dealer basically told you to f#&k off about it. The deal isn't finalized until the bank completes all the paperwork and sends you the payment book.
The dealer will always try to give you ****, and try to make you back down and except it. I was basically in a situation like yours. I traded my car in for another car, and when I got home it died. I called the dealer, they picked up the car, and I told them I didn't want the car anymore and to give me back my car.
They told me that it was a moot point and there was nothing I could do about it.
I said "Oh yeah?... Well let's see what the bank has to say about this." I called the bank from the dealership told them what was going on. then the manager from the dealership interrupts me and say's " Hey were a respectable dealer and we don't want to ruin our name, here's your keys back. And if you need anything in the future just let me know."
Ha ha yeah right like I would ever do business with them again. Sorry. I just went off on alittle tangent.
Good luck on getting your situation fixed, and don't let them push you around. It's your money and that amount is something not to take lightly.

^^ That doesn't seem like a bad route to try, if you financed it. Good luck. If some others are interested in contacting the dealership to try and help this guy out, not sure if it will help, here is a link. http://www.stradacars.com/joinus.asp
