Low Oil Pressure (not ops)

I did a lot of searching the past few weeks and couldn't quite come across any threads with the problems I am having.

Sorry about bad quality and that its sideways..filmed with a droid.

Recently I finished up rebuilding my 03 evo 8. I replaced my old block after it blew with a stock one I picked up from someone locally. The build went really smooth and the car cranked twice and started. Every thing seemed fine. No noises coming from the engine and no check engine light.

We let it idle for a little bit to warm up and as we were about to shut it down the oil light came on. We revved the car a bit and the light went out for a few seconds and came back on. First thing that came to mind was bad oil pressure sensor. To be safe we picked up an oil pressure gauge to check it out.

We cold started the car and the gauge read very low, 10psi. We took the car for a very very short trip around the neighborhood (a mile and a half at most). The highest psi the gauge read was right around 25 under a few pounds of boost. Pulled into the driveway and the pressure dropped very very low somewhere between 2-3psi. We determined the problem is obviously not the pressure sensor but something much bigger.

A little about the car..
The oil cooler is deleted. The oil pump balance shaft was replaced with a stub shaft but the rear balance shaft was left in to block the oiling holes. We only used 20w-50 oil. There is a very faint sound of the lifters ticking possibly but other than that there is no real engine noise. The replacement block only has around 35k miles on it.

No oil pressure is obviously a big problem . So before we start ripping the car apart again, if anyone has any ideas on what could be the problem I'd be glad to listen. I was told it could possibly be a bearing clearance issue but more opinions would be appreciated greatly. If you need any more information about the car I will gladly provide it, just ask. Thanks for taking the time to read through this.

First is first. Change the Oil pressure switch with another one. Also make sure you have the right amount of oil. Last you need to check bearings.

That, and check the clearances in the oil pump.

were the balance shaft bearings for the shaft that was removed taken and new ones put in 180* out so the holes are blocked?

If the shaft was just removed then that might be the issue.

rear shaft was left in to block the holes, only oil pump shaft was removed which only has one bearing that does not need flipped.

if the rear shaft is sitting in the wrong position it allows oil to flow freely. I would pull the rear shafts as well and block the bearing holes. Did you rebuild the used block or just remove the Balance Shafts?

Was unaware of that to be honest. There was no rebuilding done only the balance shaft removed. Do you know how to tell if the shaft is in the right position to block the oiling holes?

sounds like you might have destroyed a bearing with oil pressure that low

a Long time ago i had a low oil pressure on my 2.4L and it was the balance shaft bearing came off clean i had to replaced engine . I think you should double check the balance shaft kit again. What oil are you running. Any additive?

20w-50. im not exactly sure how any of the balance shaft bearings would come off because neither balance shafts are spinning so the bearings are just sitting in there. The oil pump balance shaft has been replaced with a stub shaft and the rear shaft was left in the block to block the oiling holes. From my understanding now though the shaft might not be plugging the holes correctly which could be causing the problem?
