T case fluid change

Ok so today I go to change the t case fluid. I had the front of the car on ramps and the rear diff with a jack and stands so the car is level. Fill up my measuring cup to 16 oz. for a half qt. Using the pump, I pump away and then when the fluid got down to 8 oz. the t case started to drip. Is it supposed to drip that early? I thought it was supposed to drip after 16 oz. of fluid have been pumped. So I was like screw this I'll just keep on pumping till all the fluid is gone from the measuring cup. I waited a few minutes for some of the fluid to drip out of the fill hole and it seemed like forever! As the fluid was still dripping I just put the fill plug back in and called it a day. Just had a frustrating day today and had to rant so sorry for the long post on such a simple procedure. WOndering if any of you guys experienced this early dripping.

This is what I do:
1.) Purchase 4 identical ramps.
2.) Roll the car onto the first two ramps.
3.) Take a floor jack and jack up the rear by the rear differential
4.) Slide remaining two ramps under the rear wheels
5.) lower rear wheels onto the rear two ramps
6.) If the surface you are on is level, the car will be level.

Good luck

When I did my fluid change it seemed I had to force it in there with my suction gun to get the required amount. I kept sticking my little finger into the hole (hehe) and feeling the fluid level that way.

don't forget that draining the TC isn't going to get every last drop of oil out of it, there's still going to be a little in it, you can't avoid that. and since it only takes 1/2 a quart to fill that bit that's left will seem like a substantial amount.
