yeah after i torpedoed the idea of going the whole 2.3/35r (way too much money considering i barely drive my car), my thoughts have turned to a 50 trim.

tom's right, everybody's results are inconsistent but the numbers are good nevertheless....and it seems that options for the 50 trim have pretty much been limited to TT's kit. AMS's is fantastic quality, but too much for me for a 50 trim. And Shearer's kit looks great, very competitive price, but no posted results....

so while everybody's kit will probably yield around the same results (or maybe not given the 50 trim result inconsistencies), it helps to explore every option...hence my inquiry about shearer's kit.

come july, my sig is gonna have some new numbers in it.....

so once again BUMP, anyone have DIRECT experience with the shearer 50 trim kit or close knowledge of someone who does? any issues w/ fitment etc? (although i doubt it, ron has his $hit together)

and yes i've called shearer and emailed, hopefully they'll get back to me soon to give me some info. but for curiosity's sake, i thought i'd ask you guys on here as well.

2.3l should add about 10 percent to your hp, not sure about tq, thats according to a good number of engine builders/tuners.

as of the only post he put in this thread, his 50 trim currently goes for 4100....but as you can see we're anxiously waiting for the time when he knocks off 500 to go down to 3600....which is an absolutely sick price.

call ron and see what he says....and if he updates you on when he might be putting these on sale, post it here!

Sean Ivey recently made 484hp/448tq @ 26psi on a customers car with a stock ECU flash and a leaky BOV. Basic rundown of the car is... completely stock motor with 264in/272ex cams, Ivey tune flash, pump gas w/ meth, Nisei intercooler, 3" exhasut, etc etc...

I expect ~515whp and a buttload more torque with the BOV problem fixed.
