anyone run a shearer 50 trim?

Just like the title says, has anyone run a shearer bb 50 trim kit?

Searching yields results from either Turbotrix's kit or AMS's kits but i wanted to look at this one too.

Thanks guys.

And yes, i know there won't be TOO much of a difference in results between the 3, i was just curious.

well I dont run that kit.

but I do have his manifold and I can say this....
quality and fitment are excellent! Top notch work and the manifold even allowed me to run the koyo radiator with ease (which is 1/2inch wider than stock)

I have the manifold as well. Can I see pics to see how much space there is between the manifold and radiator? Does the koyo radiator weigh more than the stock one?

The upper radiator pipe runs close to the manifold.
but I've seen his kit installed in an evo 8 and it wasnt so close...with the exact same manifold etc.
which leads me to believe that there must be something small that's different between the E7 and E8.
probably the radiator mounting or something...i really dont know.

The radiator itself is not much heavier than the stocker, but the operation of this unit DOES make for a heavier car. That is because of the extra fluid needed to fill it up. Yes, it ADDS A LOT OF WEIGHT to the car in "road-ready" form.

Someone here has the Shearer manifold with a 50 trim turbo...not sure if its a complete kit but he did make good power. I bought his 35R kit and I can say its a awesome kit, everything fits perfect and the quality is top notch.

Never satisfied this guy.... we had a lengthy discussion about this yesterday.

I think Shearer's kit looks top notch in terms of quality (aesthetically too!) I actually think its closest to AMS in terms of quality yet its almost $700 less. As far as power numbers, the 50 trim kit's numbers in general are confusing to see. We've seen:
2.3L+meth- 475
2.0L+racegas 476
2.0L+93--- 452
2.0L+93--- 408

Then to make it crazy one guy made 497whp on 93+meth ON A FLASH! The only thing I noticed he had different was the VRS intake manifold, so that had to be a big power adder there (hint hint). (Just as a side note he had HKS272s, and std AMS FMIC).

Those numbers dont add up much in terms of consistency however, the good news is, theyre all REALLY good numbers. I think its really going to come down to supporting mods and overall combination.

keep in mind the HP might not have gone up with a 2.3 but the torque rose significantly.
