boost help

boost help

earlier today when i was drving my evo i decided to hit it up and all of the sudenlly i felt and heard like there was a bosst leak check around and couldent find anything so i tryied reseting the battery and did the same it's like it hits full boost at 21psi and when im about 6rpm's tne car drops to like 10 psi i can hear something but since im not really familiar with evos i cant find the problem can u guys help me out and by the way i have the following mods hks ssqv, forge wga, hks full tbe, boost gauge and walbro 255 please help guys

I told you yesterday that you need to get rid of that SSQV.

Anyway, do you not have a boost controller? Does this mean you're still on stock boost using the stock boost system? Do you still have the stock intake using the stock plastic instake snorkel that feeds air into the airbox? Have you checked all of your IC piping to make sure nothing has come loose?

give me a break with that SSQV yeah dude i checked a couple of line dude how i told you im not really familiar with evo's but i know the basics, no im not in stock boost boost im at 21psi but with the stock system, and yeah i still have stock intake and the snorkel and yeah i checked the IC piping, but let me tell you something this morning when i woke up i hit it up again and the car was doing perfect so what could this be man i dont whant this **** to be happening on and off.

Check your intake snorkel. Is it fastened down with 2 clips? If not, then that's your problem. Go take a look, and if you're missing 1 or both, then get 1 or 2 from the trunk lining and use those.

I was just thinking the same thing here Warrtalon. It sounds like your snorkle is getting sucked up to your hood and starving the turbo of any air. It makes a horrific sound that will scare the crap out of you!! If the clips are on then it shouldnt happen, but you may want to just remove the scorkle real quick and try it again.

yeah you guys are right last time i took the box out to but the wga on of the clips on the snorkel broke.
