I bought one of mine and it also came like that. The person didnt re-install the boost solinoid. See if there is only one hose on the actuator and it connects to the pipe on the turbo. If thats the case, then you are only running off the actuator.

Hey i did alot of work to my evo didn't have a boost gauge installed and though everything was cool , but when i went to get it tuned i was hitting like 14 tappering to 13 psi of boost. Matt and swift motorsports who tuned my car said it was a bad boost solinoid which tend to go bad in our cars reguardless of miles on the car. another friend of mine with an evo was hitting 11psi just like you. check to see if ur solinoid is still there (its located under the intake against the subframe rails. as long as its there and pluged in more then likely thats ur problem. MBC or EBC will fix that.

My solenoid went bad, was doing the exact same thing. MBC solved the problem just fine.

sounds to me like your tapping the wrong line... somethings definatly wrong when your spiking at ont 14 psi..... you should be tapping into this line on the intake manifold for boost coming into the motor.... youll get a more acurate reading this way....http://www.lancershop.com/customer/pages.php?pageid=14

about half way down youll see the FPR line making a loop on the intake manifold, thats the line to tap into.... good luck

the stock lines connecting to the solenoid have little pills in them to regulate pressure...without the pills you running off the actuator- 11psi. That could be your problem or the BCS went bad. Either way a MBC fixes it.

Just make sure you straighten out where you ahve your boost gauge tapped into... If its in the wrong spot, your not going to get an accurate boost reading...
