you might have had a backfire.....

 

Thats what I would say. If you checked all of the piping and it was fine, you probably just backfired. You might wanna consider an ECU flash or maybe a SAFC or something to tune the car better... Just a thought.

 

I'd try getting on it and see if it stutterts and feels like #$%, if so you prolly have a boost leak somewhere.

Go through all of the connections making sure all of the hoses are on tight. Check the clamps and make sure they are all tightened up firmly and in the right position. Do not just look at them. I check my connections all the time just to make sure they are all tight.

 

they are all tight. i got on it and it doesnt studder. if it was a backfire does it make that popping noise?

 

Maybe it was backfire then. To be honest with you, I don't know exactly what the noise you heard was cuz I wasn't there so it is hard to say. Backfires can make a pretty good bang.

 

I would sell it and buy a Honda.

 

yeah.. you should try and get tuned. the tune should clear that up for you(if thats even the problem).

Did it studder when it popped? Maybe it was a overboost fuel cut.

I'll be honest.. You're prolly entirely fine. With the mods you have and you know your IC piping is tightened down, I wouldn't stress it. I'd bet you 99% it was justa backfire. Nothing to worry about man. My talon used to do it all the itme and spit 3' flames on the count of being too rich with the turbo-back exhaust.

Also, you prolly weren't paying enough attention if you were in a a rush home to realize if you were giving it gas or letting off. But I would say it's not an issue.

 

i just took the car out again i smashed on it in first it was fine. second.. it was fine....thrid.... it was fine, then i got to fourth and pop!!! man this sucks
