Fuel cut... Most likely. Get the car tuned. Flash the ECU, or get an Apexi SAFC-II. Prolly wouldn't hurt to get a Walbro 255lph fuel pump (theyre like $100 I believe) Although Idk if you need one yet for the evo. Believe me fuel work is your friend when you drive a turbo car. It is a very good safety investment! tune the car or it will detonate, and at some point BOOM! Thats what happened with my Talon and I learned the hard way.

Get the tune done.. Detonation is happening i bet.. Woah woah woah.. wait. Please tell me you have a boost gauge since you have a MBC hooked up? Sorry, not trying to be an @#$ but this is very important. Do you have a boost gauge, and what boost are you running?

LOL! GOOD! At first I thought you didn't and I didn't see thta bottom part.. But yeah, when you ripp it in those higher gears, chgeck your gauge.. I bet it creeps above 21psi. Go check, come back, and tell me. If it does this, you need to do something about tuning the car!

from my understanding, if you are going to pass someone you should downshift. the boost pressure raises higher than what you think. and is still extremely stressful(although) it doesnt feel like it
