i used the new rs forge and it worked great excep-t the fluttering which i couldnt dial out no matter what i did. I started on the softest setting all the way to the tightest and it fluttered no matter what i did. With the crushed 1G no fluttering at all and it holds the boost i,m running,20psi tappering to 18.5 at redline. If you put back your stock bov which is a great piece you,ll have no fluttering problems.

i,m not in anyway knocking forge bov,s, the rs with the ratchet adjustment is from what i,ve heard and briefly used on my car a great piece and probably the best one on the market today i just cant deal with any fluttering. If i was running higher boost i,d slap that baby right back on in a second. Its brand new with all the fittings and i know i could sell it in a heartbeat for as new price but i,m definetly keeping it in case i raise boost in the future.Lots of people dont mind the fluttering but it drives me nuts.

He has an 8, Danny I think you are refering to the IX's metal BOV which is far superior to the stock pieces on the 8's.

+1 but my bov is installed correctly and it *sputters* under low throttle but nothing that would effect drivability its just noise (greddy type-s)

after new bov and intake i got the flutter at at low rpm, right when you let off the pedal... i feel it throughout my car when that happens, i hate it. Does not change my performance, just makes me think something is leaking.... No matter how many times I tear it apart.

if its not effecting driveability no big deal i could deal with the noise, its when the fluttering effects the drivability that drives me nuts, every bov that i used that fluttered shook the car to the point where it wasnt fun driving

the crushed 1G i,m using is smooth as glass, the only flutter is in 5th gear letting off the gas at about 10-15 psi of boost and i dont really feel it just hear it mostely

no this is not when i left off the gas, this is when i am giving it gas slowly. like if i push on the pedal just enough to start slowly building boost. once it hits 10-15 psi it begins to flutter then afte about 2 seconds of fluttering i lose all boost and power of the turbo. BUT if i push the pedal all the way to the floor (WOT) then it builds boost to 20 psi and holds great. so in a way it does effect drivability. I have talked to many companies, mechanics and friends and no one has any idea why it is doing this. but it just started when i installed my exedy twin disc clutch, BR lower intercooler pipe and BR front mount race intercooler. so i am baffled

Well I Know what is wrong. i put my factory intercooler pipe on and the fluttering went away. BUT when i have the BR lower intercooler pipe on it flutters... the only reason can be the lower hose on the MBC. When i splice it in between the BOV and the intake manifold then it leaks. so that HAS to be the sputter, any ideas???

the hoses leak around the 'T'. here is a pic of where it leaks

you shouldn't use the T method to hook up the MBC, use the nipple on the turbo as the source!
