Don't use a pickle fork, it will tear up the ball joint dust cover. You can get a pusher at the local auto parts store.

Also, can you take some pics while pulling the motor? I'd love to see how this is done. I'll be doing it later on this year.

You actually don't need a pickle fork or anything to get the lower balljoint off, it's not a tapered style balljoint. I recomend simply unbolting the strut and brake caliper though, it's easier and quicker IMO.

alright....do this to remove the axles from the hub, pry the axles out of the TC and then pull the drivers side input shaft, disconnect the drive shaft and then the bolts, TC should come out. I think I am set.

I will take some pics and try to do a write up when all this is done. I know I have asked a ton of questions so a big thanks to every one helping out. I am sure at some point I will have more questions so every body who is interested......keep checking in.

we took both the tranny and the engine out at the same time and left the transfer case in the car
