Was just browsing through HKS Japan's website and found this for the STi. It's a valve timing controller. I'm not at all familiar with Subaru's AVCS, but if it's anything similar to MIVEC, a unit for Mitsu can't be that far behind. Maybe someone can shed some insight on this.

Uh, yeah... I'm well aware of that. I was just querying to see if anyone had any insight on similarities / differences between AVCS and MIVEC. If the overlap between the two approaches is similar then one would reason that the MIVEC version isn't far behind. This particular product for the WRX was released on their website dated 4/21/2006.
