the car also had white rabbit XEDE w/S.M.A.R.T., test pipe, 680cc injectors
Not a bad example when "done right", and what you should have seen from that unit.

I have had great results with my WR, and made the same as a cammed TME car with test pipe, both on 100 octane on the same dyno, same day. This is just as an FYI.

I love you.

If you are doing a turbo, do a turbo!! Even the 20G although great for the money, save up and get a kit from AMS that will product proven numbers as they have some of the quieckest evos in the country!!

my 2 cents

The White Rabbit provides an advantage over the stock turbocharger without giving up ANY of the boost response of the stock turbo. Retaining stock like spool up was the first priority for this upgrade. The second priority was to deliver additional airflow capacity so that the characteristic top end drop off of the stock turbo was eliminated. These two design constraints were met while at the same time allowing for high boost operation that significantly improves power over the stock turbo at boost pressures above 22psi . . . . ."

If the above is true, then how much of a difference exists between the 10.5 05 IIIV comp housing, and the 10.5 06 IX comp housing? Is it enough to justify the switch?
10.5 does not refer to the compressor size. It is the hotside of the turbo. Basically the turbine housing. There is no difference that I am aware of between the 05 and 06 hotsides. Compressor housings yes, hotsides no.

I had almost given up on the white rabbit until I saw a local car put down 440whp & 490wtq on a Mustang dyno and 100octane with an Evo9 WR.

I haven't seen any evidence that the 9 compressor housing is a power adder, so I'm not convinced that the 20G-9-5 is any more powerful of a turbo than the WR (which is basically a 20G-8-5). If the 9 housing made a big difference, then there would be a big advantage going from a 10.5 8 turbo to a 9 turbo, but there isn't.
