hmm... now that i reread it... it's a bit messy. in any case... there's other threads that are emerging/developing that might prive what we're looking for. 10.5 -> 9.

However, I've seen many, many reasons that contributed to less than stellar results with that turbo (and just OE replacements). Mostly casting off set, and being hap-hazardly installed without match porting or at least "lining the port up before bolting it all together"... and JESUS CHRIST the variance in the OE manifold is crazy!
The 5 blade "20G" is an Evo 9 turbo with the above wheel put in it with some alleged "tweaks"... most likely a good clip on the turbine wheel.
Whether anyone agrees or not with my findings is irrelevant. What is relevant is that the "WR" lives on only in stock with certain vendors... as Forced Performance has quit producing them other than the wheel living on in the 20G-9.

hey Zeus,
so then is it possible that we could just change our compressor 8 housings out for the 9 housings with the WR wheel??

That's exactly what I'm getting at . . . . mating the TME internals with the E9 compressor housing --- should be the best of both worlds!
To date, Buschur Racing and WORKS haven't tried it . . . I called today and asked.

^ that's called the tme9. putting a 9 cover (which is entirely possible) on a wr is a wr9, which some speculate is the same as the br20g9-5, but i don't think it is anymore... from some things that buschur has said i beleive they simply modified the turbine blades somehow... as he doesn't recommend putting the tme internals in.
