Ultimate Racing EVO 8 goes 12.57 @ 107 MPH!

Hey guys,

We just got back from St Thomas Dragway yesterday and we've got some great results.

Our 2003 Lancer EVO 8 equipped with our Stage 1 Upgrade:

- 2.5" Stainless Steel Mandrel Bent Downpipe with STOCK EXHAUST
- 2.5" Test Pipe (No CEL)
- HKS SSQV Blow-Off Valve Kit
- K&N Panel Filter
- HKS Super AFR Pre-Programmed and Tuned
- Turbosmart Manual Boost Controller set at 19-20psi

Here are the results for Stage 1:

We swapped out the 2.5" Downpipe and exhaust system with our 3" Turbo-Back System...a little fine tuning here and there...and we were pleased to get these results!

This was our FIRST time using the 3-inch system as we had completed it the night before. We were VERY pleasantly surprised to find that the 3-inch system performed SUPER QUIET.

We have video footage of the whole day and will have videos for all of you to see later on in the day.

Thanks guys!

Darryl

damn, very nice numbers - consistant 1.7 sec 60 ft times... I assuming you expect to be moving to an aftermarket clutch pretty quickly, or do you think the stock one will take this sorta abuse?

also, how come you are using 2.5" downpipe & midpipe instead of 3"? the extra backpressure working in your favor with the few mods you have?

lastly, is the stock cat-back that good, or do you plan on installing your aftermarket exhaust sometime soon?

We are confident that we will hit a 1.6 60 ft. very soon but our stock clutch did begin to show signs of wear so we gave the car a break. We will be upgrading our clutch in the near future...so stay posted!

Thanks

If you look again at the first post, the 12.9 times we pulled were with the 2.5" downpipe and the stock exhaust system. The faster 12.5 time was using our 3" turbo-back system.
