Throttle Body Coolant Bypass - Trouble

Disconnected the supply and return coolant hoses to the throttle body (living in Houston, shoudn't be an issue), and plugged them both. The supply hose blew out about 8000 miles after the mod. Anyone have a similar issue? Are people plugging the hoses, or just using one of the hoses to go from the supply nipple to the return nipple with no restriction? That's how I'm running now, but the hose tries to crimp due to the tight radius. I'm sure once the coolant system pressurizes, the hose will "inflate" and un-crimp. Just curious how people have their setup????

Did you use the longer or the shorter of the 2 hoses?

Im trying to remember......I think I used the longer of the 2 hoses. I kinda recall that the shorter of the 2 hoses would crimp. But, Im not 100% sure. Can check later if necessary. Now I remember....I bought a new piece of hose that was a couple of inches longer than the original. If it still tends to crimp, then try looping it. Good luck!

I don't know if I would actually plug the lines, I used a 90 degree fitting with two barbs just to reconnect the two hoses back together to themselves for continued circulation without going through the throttle body.

I used the one that didn't split

Fortunately it was the longer hose that didn't split.

I brought this a while back when trying to ensure I was getting the coolest intake charge. It is somthing that I guess has been done on DSM's and FBody crews for quite some time and it did provide minimal results but with the evo it don't know if it has ever been tested. I was able to test that my intake charge did stay cooler and that was what I originally set out to do.
