well if you need to use your car you can just leave the fan hotwired so that it'd be on all the time.
until you get your PFC sorted out.

Trying to think what would happen if you ran without a MAF connected at idle. Another idea would be (please chime in as this is strictly an idea) if you took out the water temp sensor and add some heat to it enough to make the fan come on. If you can do this, then you would not need to have the car on just stock ecu and some heat on the sensor.

Anyone want to approve this? Don't try it until someone feels it is safe to do so. It makes sense since the ECU sees the reading and then turns on fan accordingly.

Best bet would be just to have a switch to keep fan on or even talk to Official dealer of the power fc here in the US and see if there are truly issues with the unit.

11secEVO7-->how i wish i was based there in your country so this kinds of problems can be resolved in the soonest possible time.
But sad part is I dont (I reside at Philippines, Asia)....if ever i decide to send the PFC it will take a lot of time just send the PFC there for service/repair and back here at our country. Even with my resources it will still take a lot of time...that means the car will be more like a Display car

FastEvoFL-->Havent tried starting the car yet with stock ecu and no maf...im sure it's not going to be a good one.
Also, Im going to call the Tech guys of APexi to confirm of such problem before removing the PFC.

Thanks guys for bearing with me i appreciate all the help

Dont even have to turn on the car, just leave it on the "on" position and then give some heat to the sensor!

Again let someone confirm this is ok!

Don't know if this dude ever got his temp sorted out, but my Evo VII did exactly the same thing.

I tested the grounds with a multimeter and they were terrible. I added to the factory grounding points with some leftover 4AWG cable and ring terminals, at the point where the fans are grounded and the sensor ground point, right next to the battery, and voila! No more problems!

It seems that on Evo VII's the factory sensor goes crazy when the fans come on because of a bad ground.

Go figure.
