Ok, see if anyone can help me out with this, my radiator fans stopped working, so i started trouble shooting, there is a little black box, looks like its a relay or control module, says Calsonic kansei 1c231 19700 4j02 on it, both fans plug into it then there is a main harnes that plugs into it, i unplugged them and all and if i run a hot and ground wire from the main harness to one of the fan harness's the fans work when i turn on the car, so i know it's not the fans... There is also a 3rd small wire that is on the main harness im guessing thats maybe a temp wire or remote wire? So anyways Im thinking the problem is that relay or w.e it is, just want to check on here and see what everyone else thinks before i go and try to find a replacement(which im shure is gonna suck) plus dont want to go buy it and it end up bieng something like the relay isnt getting a temp reading and not kicking the fans on... So if anyone knows what that little box is and what the 3rd wire is on the main harness going into it and if it could be my problem please let me know thans.

 

Do the fans work if you have the A/C on?

 

No they dont work if i have A/C on.

 

That box is the Fan Controller. About $50 or so from the dealer.
Easy fix.

There's a TSB on the fan controller and there's a pretty good shot it can be fixed for free if your warranty is still intact.
