gt35r question please help

So I curently have a atp 3071 turbo kit and all of the supporting mods. I make 340 whp and 320 pft, my next mod is going to be a full race tubular manifold. IM guesing that Ill get at least another 20 whp and it will help my spool up and on 100 octaine probably close to 400whp. But I still think Im going to want more, so my question is if I throw on a gt35r with the manifold and have it tuned with 100 octaine do I need a standalone and a stroker kit or can I just have it tuned by ecuteck.

you dont really need a stand alone i made 540AWHP on Dyno Flash unstable do to more stuff needed, so then my next step was stand alone so i would just cut to chase and go the right way the first time.

You don’t need a strocker kit and you can go with the ecuteck but if you are spending so much money on the turbo kit and all the boltons I would at least go with a nice pigy back system like Vishnu XEDE or the TXS Utec.

What other mods, like which cams, clutch,IC, ect. I don't think you will get 400whp (depends on the dyno)with just the FR mani(maybe on race gas), with a 50 trim,35r or 37r yes. You should have it tuned on the gas you will run the most unless you go with a stand alone and have a few maps.

Whos' 3071 kit do you have now?

What is your driving habit? Do you drag race or is it driven on the street?

Are you running a flash now?

He has an 05(No mivec).
Call Al,Buschur,TT or FR and tell him your goal or a tuner you trust. Take your time and think it through.340 is nice for a DD, also how much boost do you plan on running?
If you go with an alky kit make sure you have overkill on warning /safty features.
Make sure you have gages to monitor EGT, Boost, AF,water temp, oil pressure. Better to be safe than sorry later.
I would run an AEM, it's just my opinion. Just make sure the tuners tunes them everyday.

He has a 05 no Mivec and I have a XEDE and don’t have any problems with it.

If I do decide to put on a 35r could I run it on 91 and alky or do I need race gas with this turbo at all times.

I have atp's turbo kit. I know that my turbo is being resricted by my stock manifold that is why Im going to go with a full race manifold. And then Ill have it tuned on 100 octaine. My car is set up now for the track or even autocross but I really want it to be a street racing monster. If I put a 35r on my car could I run 91 with alky or do you need race gas at all times with a turbo this size. Thanks.

I would get a 50 trim kit of your choice for street use, there are some really nice 50 trim kits out, read up on each one and get it done right the first time, don't rush.

What ever you do make sure you get it tuned/installed by a well known tuner/shop, yes you could run alky with a 35r on 91.

don't waste your time on a new manifold, you won't see enuf, if any gains to make the purchase worthwile.

you need a better flowing turbo, the mucked up hotside on that POS turbo is why you don't have any power.

don't buy a 35r if you aren't gonna atleast run it on alky everyday, you won't be happy with only pump gas.

you can use a piggyback or flash just fine, it isn't quite as ideal with the mods, but its doable. i do it. wish i had an aem though, my idle sucks ballz in closed loop.

According to ecutek you can run the stock ecu up to 610whp safely without running into any problems.

No, it is being restricted by ATP's "Custom" hot side. It increases lag and reduces the top end. ATP kits are junk. Get a real kit, if anythign save for the Buschur GT35R turbo kit being $2999 so it is a good deal and won't choke like the ATP kit.

so if I get a different hotside then my turbo should make more power?
