clutch lock out

i have a quick question because i just finished adjusting my clutch and i believe im getting a bit of lock out but im not sure....does it happen in one gear or all gears??
and will lock out make it impossible to shift or do you have to fight with the shifter to get it out of gear?....since i adjusted my clutch it feels like i have to a add a little bit more pressure than usuall to get out of first gear at high rpm than usual....all the other gears are perfect.......hmm ..... so if anyone could give some feed back on clutch lock out that would be great.....not sure if it needs some more adjustment....

First of all, what kind of clutch do you have and who installed it?

Well, it depends on what you mean by "lock out." It's not a scientific term, so it only means what you mean for it to mean. If you're referring to all of us who have had the dreaded 7k lockout problem with the ACT, then that is exactly what it sounds like - 7k RPM lockout. THis means that we cannot shift fast anywhere near 7k rpm. I adjusted my rod out, which made the pedal engagement very high, and then it worked. I never had an issue with it being difficult to get out of first, but I couldn't shift fast at 7k rpm in any gear.

well i can shift fast above 7k i usally shift at around 7.5k.........i cant shift fast in any gear but sice my adjustment it feels like i need to increase the pressure being aplied to pull the shifter out of gear......before my pedal was very high and evreything was fine but it was extremly uncomfortable to drive so i lowered it a bit then i noticed this small diffrence in only first gear....dont know if im imagining it or if its a actual problem that is why i was asking about lock out on here so i can determine if i need to adjust the pedal again or if its all in my head

The ACT clutch engages very high, basically right at the end of the pedal travel. It may be uncomfortable at first but youll get used to it. Basically, what is happeneing, as far as i have been told, is the clutch is not disengaging fully which is why you have to adjust it out as far as it can go so it can completely disengage

If my act is engaging low on the pedal stroke, is that an issue?

Not if youre not having any lockout issues with it.

Just keep raising it a little bit at a time until the problem goes away
