I have the same problem and for the past 2 weeks I've had 3 or 4 rough starts too. It's like it's struggling to stay running. I changed my sparks plugs on Sunday (bpr7es) and that fixed the rough idle but not the rough start up. Any ideas??

if it's severe idle problems, like worse than having cams you should check your timing belt and see if it skipped a tooth.

the exact symptoms are a strong or overly strong cold start 1200 rpms. when warm a nasty idle kicks in, possibly bad enough to stall the car. warm start up requires many crank cycles. if you have these symptoms your timing belt skipped a tooth.

 

gap is set to .26.

It only happens when the car sits over night

 

clean the Throttle Body... it fixed my rough idle
