100 octane question...

I'm going to a track day soon and was wondering if the 100 octane race fuel would hurt the motor or cats...
thanks for any input!

As long as it's unleaded fuel you will be fine.

I use 100 octane.
I buy it at the local gas station.
Cold air and 100 octane...
Some of the good things about NY.

Don't run high octane unless your motor is in need of it. Stock evo's require 94 octane so run 94-96 octane. If you run too hot of an octane it will take longer to burn due to the fact that it is more resistant to combustion (search defintion of octane). If your boost is raised then use a slightly higher octane.

Are you guys talking Ron, Mon, or R+M/2?

Everything in Australia is described in Ron. Regular is 87-91. Premium is 95 and "special" fuels is 98.

So our "best" is still really only about 92-93 R+M/2.

In Ron it would be 98 Ron, I'm referring to the US's R+M/2
