A 3076 is a GT30.

A 3076 will get you your 500+whp (DJ) with a proper setup and tuning. Even a .82 A/R hotside on the larger displacement 2.3 will make for a very fun, fast autocross car with a fat torque curve. With that ported head, you might even consider what benefit you'll get from a set of cams that can take advantage of the increased flow potential.

. What cams would you suggest opposed to the HKS 272?
Go to Buschur's website. Get Revolver 262/264 combo with springs and retainers for $750. These have a high ramp profile just like the Jun cams and create mucho mucho HP when combined with 30 or 35R.

I would stick with the 3076R for atuo-x type situations. I made 475/419 with mine (.63 a/r) and that's on a stock block 2.0L. Also, someone mentioned ignition breaking up at 30psi lol I definately have that problem too, so look at upgrading the ignition. PM if you want to know more about my setup.
I'll check into the Revolver setup..
I'd like to run around 30 psi on meth so I'll most likely upgrade the ignition. What would you guys suggest other than a HKS DLI or something of the sort? (besides plugs and wires, naturally)

I thought they were the best around for evo's and dsm's? but anyway what other shops around NJ or NY are thier to go to?

A friend on this board has had great success with Pruven in CT. A bit of a drive, but he swears by them....and honestly, Ive seen pics and stories of the work they've done and it seems they do a great job.

They can tune HKS standalone and AEM ems, from what I've heard. I have not had much luck getting in contact with Pruven in my past attempts. Is there some other phone number I dont know about?
Also reguarding the stroker motor and GT3076R setup. How would HKS 280 cams work with this setup? I know with these cams you can run around an 8k or so redline, but that would be unreliable for a stroker motor. I had these cams already in my car, and I'm wondering if there is any point in downgrading to straight 272's possibly from a different manufacturer such as JUN or Cosworth? Or should I just stick with 280s?

You cannot compare "272" vs. "280" or whatever from different cam manufacturers. That being said, moving from HKS 280s to JUN 272s would not be 'downgrading' where effective duration is concerned. The JUN 272s have more effective duration than the HKS 280s, so they are even MORE high rpm oriented.

I see. Good point. I guess I should rephrase my question. What set of cams(and what duration), JUN, HKS, Comp or otherwise, would be best for a stroker motor and a GT3076R in terms of power and reliability for the motor?
Unless someone can demonstrate solidly otherwise, the headflow data I've seen to date indicates very high lift cams such as JUN, Revolver, etc., are best suited for those with port work done to the heads. That being said, a 2.3L engine should respond very favorably to head work with its lesser rod/stroke ratio and increased displacement. Otherwise, the HKS 280s and factory valvetrain would be fine. I'd definitely opt for a set of cam gears regardless, and dial the power wherever I'd want it.

Well, not everyone has perfect experiences.
Ive heard TT do some crazy things to cars, Buschur's parts to be EH...AMS has a pretty good rep.
But you can't please all the people all of the time.
Just the same....if you want to bring the car to PA, Im here. If you get the motor built and installed, even just built up, bring it here and we'll put all of it in, the turbo kit..etc.
I can pretty much do anything in a days time and all I'd ask for is the patience of the owner, some lunch and to allow me to photograph and keep a strict log of every nut, bolt and what not I take off and return.
