Holy poopy, this 2 catch can system is perfect for what I have been looking for . I am definately a truck trick and have been looking for something like this for awhile. Right now I jut put in a small fuel filter between the intake tract and breather nipple. I autocross heavily as well and can only imagine how much oil would be collected especially after a track day or time attack event.

Any pics on the seperated can setup? I like the idea of running less lines. I have added my name to the list for a seperated version along with lines but, need to see pics of the seperated version just in case I want to switch to the single unit.

It looks like I have time thought to decide given the amount of people in front of me waiting for this awesome creation

I happen to run across this in my search for the ultimate catch can. They seem to incorporate everything that was mentioned so far. One of the downsides is that the bottom doesn't incorporate a drain valve and has to be unscrewed (more like twisted) to empty out the collected oil. On the plus side, at least you can disassemble it and clean the insides every now and then. It's a bit pricey but the quality seems top notch. I'm in no way affiliated with them. Just happen to run across one of their auctions on eBay.

I have an upgraded turbo, with a 4 inch intake pipe. I took the breather hose that normally runs into the intake and but a K&N breather filter. I noticed that when I opened the hood I would fine an oil mist or film on my tranny.(i have the filter hooked up to the hose on top of the transmission) is that normal. I am running about 29psi and have no catch can.

29 PSI I am assuming that you are not running OEM fuel and tune with that. It sounds as though you may be experiencing a significant amount of blow-by due to running 29 psi, especially if that is with OEM fuel and tune.

Sweet I assumed you upgraded the fuel system. I would say you are getting excessive blow-by. You may want to check the compression ratios in each cylinder to make sure everything is ok.

A little residue is normal but, you shouldn't get a significant amount from where you are talking about.

About how much oil is everybody catching on the PVC check valve side (from the brass nipple to the intake runners)?

I would gather about a drop a day (20 mi) which seems to me to be a bit much

It's a long thread, but if you start at the first page all of your questions will be answered.
