that said, it's both hard to make a recirc that long and to fit a muffler in somewhere.

also backpressure in a wg pipe is not a big deal so long as your wg is able to waste off the gases as to not cause creep.

Look in JEGS at the mufflers used on junior dragsters... seems like a good place to start for a non-restrictive muffler to quiet down the dump tube.

I have a different question but since we're on the topic...

what kind of benefits are there when using a non-recirculating dumptube [other than increased noise]

currently my kit uses a recirculating one..

I hate my external dump noise I really want to muffle that god awful sound. I just wanna hear that turbo spool haha. I think I'm going to just rig up a little muffler but Iam scared to have too much back pressure on the gate. Anyone figure this out yet

basically, if there is too much restriction on the dump tube, you will have boost creep. you wont lose a single horsepower.
