Bosch 044 intank. who has done it?
Your better off going with a Aeromotive A1000 it will cost you less then a dual fuel pump setup and good for 800+ whp. Im about to run it myself its a few wireing issuses that im reading about now with the V8 guys and some evo owners. All you would need for this is the pump and the new feed and return lines it shouldnt cost that much and a FPR you should be good to go.
The A-1000 is an awesome unit but it's noisy as all hell, it almost sounds like a spooled turbo. i would really recomend taking a ride in a A-1000 car before commiting to it.
There is a parallel discussion going in in the walbro 255 WHP limit thread. The A1000 gets the job done, but in street cars it seems that it is not always very reliable. A huge part of this is setup. Aeromotive provides specific instructions on how the pump should be setup, mostly pertaining to it being gravity/acceleration fed, and what type of filter is to be used pre pump. I would not be comfortable letting it draw fuel up out of the tank in an external configuration. Some people have used in tank pumps to feed it, but there is more on that in the other thread and elsewhere.
Unfortunately I have no experience with the Bosch unit, even with DSMs, so I can't contribute much to the original question.

Wow you just revived a thread from 2006... Congrats.
I am running a Bosch 044 inline, on a hobb switch with a Walbro 525 intank.
No noise whatsoever. Bosch kicks in at 4psi so I never hear it.
Has been a reliable setup so far.
